Ron Paul Votes NO Bailout (Speech to the House Floor)
29th September 2008, U.S. House of Representatives. Ron Paul [R-TX] votes NO to the bailout bill. Ayes 205 NOES 228 clerk.house.gov ----------------------------------------- ----------------- Transcription: Madam President, I am in strong opposition to this bill. This has to do only that much worse the problem. The problem arose because we spent too much, we borrowed too much, and we printed too much money, we inflated too much, and we too regulated. This is all that is on this billmore of the same. So you can not solve the problem. We are looking at a symptom. We are located at the collapse of a market that seemed unstable. It is unstable because of how it came about. It 'was born because of monopoly control of money and credit from the Federal Reserve System, and this is a natural consequence of what happens when a Federal Reserve created too much credit. Now he has a number of free-market economists have predicted the pace would be something. But we consider them for advice? No, we completely excluded. We do not listen to them. We do not look. We look at the people who created the problem and so we perpetuate the problem. To make the biggest mistake you could do here today is the free-market capitalism is responsible for this problem. This has nothing to do with free market economy. This has to do with an economy managed by a system of inflation, corporatism, and a system of special interest. It has nothing to do...
